Molloy College requires all participants to enroll in a travel insurance policy. The Fanjeaux Program will not be responsible for medical costs, missed flight or hotel costs incurred due to travel delays etc. Molloy offers suggested travel insurance policies on the program application form.

-January 15 2025 - $500 deposit due with application form and copy of passport.
-March 30- $1375 second payment due
-April 30 - $1375 final payment due

Program Description

Edgewood College students are invited to study abroad in Fanjeaux and Carcassonne, France with students from Dominican colleges and universities from across the United States. Fanjeaux is where Dominican higher education finds its roots in Dominic’s vision of a world-wide order.

This program is limited to one or two students so don’t delay! If more than one student applies, an interview may be required. The program will run every other summer.

Coursework:
This study abroad program includes a three-credit course, “St. Dominic and the Middle Ages.” In this interdisciplinary course taught in English, you will learn explore medieval studies in: art and architecture, history, literature, and religious thought.

Credits:
Upon successful completion of the three-credit, “St. Dominic and the Middle Ages,” course, students will receive 3 transfer credits from Molloy College (a Dominican college in Rockville Centre, New York).

Program Highlights:
- Join students from other Dominican colleges.
- Study in Fanjeaux where Dominican higher education finds its roots in Dominic’s vision of a world-wide order.
- Explore medieval studies in Art, Architecture, History, Literature and Religious thought.
- Improve your understanding of French language and culture.
- Share travel and study with your peers from across the U.S.
- Visit many interesting sites in southern France

*No French language experience required.
