Edgewood College students are invited to study abroad in Fanjeaux, France with students from Dominican colleges and universities from across the United States. Fanjeaux is where Dominican higher education finds its roots in Dominic’s vision of a world-wide order. This program is limited to two student so don’t delay! If more than one student applies, an interview may be required. Coursework: This study abroad program includes a three-credit course, “France in the MiddleAges.” In this interdisciplinary course taught in English, you will learn about the history, philosophy, art and literature of the period, both in class and on excursions. Credits: The three-credit, “France in the Middle Ages,” course has been pre-approved to fulfill the H (History), C (Literature), and G (Global) tags (students can choose 2 tags). Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive 3 transfer credits from Dominican University. Program Highlights: - Join students from other Dominican colleges. - Study in Fanjeaux where Dominican higher education finds its roots in Dominic’s vision of a world-wide order. - Explore medieval studies in Art, Architecture, History, Literature and Religious thought. - Improve your understanding of French language and culture. - Share travel and study with your peers from across the U.S. - Visit many interesting sites in southern France and conclude the visit with a stay in Paris. *No French language experience required.
