This hybrid study abroad program offers students an independent professional development opportunity, while benefiting from a group structured program! Nervous about interning abroad alone? This is a great program for you!

Internship Placement Information:
Students will participate in an 8-week long internship program in Dublin during the summer term (End May - Late July) sponsored by International Studies Abroad (ISA). Although students will intern in the same location, placements are personalized depending on the student’s major and skill set. Student placements are determined 4-6 weeks after submission during the mid-spring term. *Placements are not guaranteed, thus it is important to meet the eligibility criteria and prepare a strong resume and cover letter. Upon waiting to be placed, participants of the cohort will be required to attend meetings with the Internship Community of Practice. After placed all participants must attend the CGE Pre-Departure Orientation sessions.

Academic Credit:
This program requires participants to enroll in a 6 credit internship online course while abroad. These credits will appear on the student’s transcript and may count toward major specific internship courses. Students should contact their academic advisors for more information about course approval.

International Internship Cohort Program Criteria:
-Open to all students and disciplines at Edgewood College.
-Completed sophomore year (exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis).
